This classroom is about accepting one another, encouraging each other and learning together. We will work hard, take risks, make mistakes and SHOW THE LOVE along the way! We are working TOGETHER to be the best we can be and appreciate all of God's creation around us! We want to be bucket fillers in God's world!
This year our school-wide theme is found in Ecclesiastes 3:11. "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end."
As a class, it is our hope that others will notice that we are showing love in all that we say and do as we explore, experience and evaluate the world around us.
A Little About Me!
My name is Mrs. Karen Lynn Miller. I have been teaching primary age children since 1995. This is my 21st year teaching at Calvin Christian School. I have also taught Grade 4 and Kindergarten. As I have been teaching for years now, I have to say I absolutely love working with children and seeing a spark ignite when they understand something new.
A few of my favourite things include, my beautiful, small family, reading books, drinking Starbucks Chai Lattes and spending time at the cabin my Mom and Dad built when I was just 3 years old.
I am married to Gary and I have one daughter, Lauren who is attending her lasy year at the University of Manitoba. What? How can that be? I just taught her kindergarten (I really did too!) I also have a sweet 12 year old Yorkie named Belle.
I look forward to the year ahead and can't wait to learn, laugh and show love to one another together as a part of the Grade 2A classroom. May it be a fabulous year!
